Hand Operated Arbor Presses


These duMONT Arbor Presses have been specially designed for push broaching with duMONT Keyway and Hole Broaches. The No. 3-R press has 20 1/2 inch height-over-plate, develops 5 tons pressure, and will handle all standard Keyway Broaches up to and including D Series and comparable Hole Broaches. The No. 2-R with 17 1/4 inch height-over-plate and 3 tons developed pressure is suitable for keyways up to and including "C" Series and comparable hold broaches.

Both Presses have all these essential features:
* Ratchet operation with compound leverage for minimum operator effort.
* Pawl between lever and pinion permits positioning lever for most convenient reach and pull.
* Counter weight returns lever to upright rest position.
* Ram positioned by handwheel reduces travel, tests broach alignment, and supports broach-workpiece assembly.
* Round ram with rack teeth cut to center concentrates force along the center line to avoid cramping.
* Rugged table machined square with ram, and slotted for broach drop-through.
